9.SS-Panzer Division

The 9.SS has been a large part of WWII re-enacting in California since the 1980’s and is located in the San Jose area. Our membership spans an area from the North Bay to Sacramento and the surrounding cities all the way to Modesto.

We are always recruiting dedicated and loyal members to join our ranks. Our unit has a long standing tradition of maintaining very high standards of authenticity, historical knowledge, and Kameradschaft.

Once accepted, you will be given information on how to obtain any and all uniforms and equipment required. If you have reenacted before, we simply ask that you maintain our mandatory unit authenticity standards. This could mean upgrading certain items as needed and or the reduction or removal of any previous rank.

Upon coming out for your first time, we will provide you with all “temporary” loaner uniforms, equipment and a weapon. It will be your responsibility to purchase all necessary items as soon as possible. We will work with you throughout that process.

The 9.SS of California is a non-political group. We respectfully portray the combat soldier of the 9.SS Panzer Division "Hohenstaufen" of World War II. Our events are private and by invitation only. Our unit is recognized by the Department of Defense for the Commemoration of World War II. We are not a neo-nazi organization, we do not subscribe to the ideas, goals, or aspirations of any extremist groups, nor are we affiliated with any such organizations. The reenacting hobby must represent all sides of the conflict in order to accurately portray the times between 1939-1945. It is not our intention to offend viewers of our site.
